General Questions
How many people will be on the holiday?
The size of the group can vary according to each holiday but the number never exceeds 15. By dealing with small
Numbers allows us to give you the most from your holiday, and we are always on hand to make sure you really experience
Provence to its full potential.
When is the best time to travel?
Our set holidays are scheduled so that you benefit from the natural scenery in Provence.
Are there any hidden extras?
Everything stated in the itinerary is fully paid for. Any extra events you wish to attend or visit will have to be paid for separately.
Do I need to speak the local language?
Of course it is always beneficial to try and speak the local language, but the tour guide will always be able to help out when it can become a little difficult! A basic French lesson is also conducted on arrival.
Are singles welcome to come on the holiday?
Yes of course singles are more than welcome to join us on the holiday. Of course there will be a supplement for hotel charges.
When’s the best time to see the lavender?
Lavender blooms from late June to September, but if you want to see it at its full potential you should plan the holiday from mid June to mid July.
What if I need help?
Our team are always on hand from the moment you book the holiday, there will also be 24hr assistance during your stay in France.
Do we have to stick together as a group at all times?
The tours all have rest periods where you can just relax or organise activities as a group, and we will be on hand to assist with local knowledge. You may meet up for evening dinner. It is as sociable as you decide to make it.
I would like to extend my stay there by spending extra time in a hotel/villa can you arrange this?
Of course many people prefer to extend the holiday especially if the week is part of a larger holiday around Europe. We have knowledge of some of the finest hotels and villas and would be more than happy to accommodate you.
Your prices are in British pounds can we pay in dollars or Euros?
Of course this is possible. The best way would be to pay on credit card and you will be charged the exchange rate for the day. All the online bookings are done through a secure server.
Travel Questions
Why don’t you arrange travel to Provence?
With the wide range of choice now of booking flights at very little cost, whether you are travelling from the UK or elsewhere, we thought it was in your interest to shop around for the lowest possible flight price. Details for recommended airlines can be found at www.easyjet.com, www.ryanair.com, www.bmibaby.com. Of course we will be happy to assist with any queries you may have regarding the booking procedure.
When should we book flights?
Firstly it is advised you check the availability for the flights dates according to the tour you choose, then check with us for availability for the tour, then immediately book the flight afterwards.
Why do you not sell travel insurance?
Many people now have their own travel insurance and can usually be offered at a more competitive rate than we can offer.
Where do we get picked up?
You will be greeted at the airport on arrival. We will gather at midday at Marseille airport, at which time the tour begins.
Can you book airport hotels?
If you do require assistance with airport hotel booking we can assist you with these, popular choices would be Hotel Sofitel Marseille airport, Best Western or Novotel.
What is my baggage allowance?
Each airline usually offers varied restrictions on their baggage allowance. For the low cost airlines within Europe the checked baggage weight is 15 kg per person. This weight would increase for those on long haul flights.
How long will it take to check in for my flight?
Most airlines state that you should arrive at least 2 hours prior to departure to allow ample time.
Our hotels
What kind of hotels would I be staying in?
You will be staying in high quality hotels these would be ****, always located in a convenient area.
What kind of meals can I expect?
Breakfast is either continental style or buffet style. Your exact meals are detailed on your holiday fact sheet.
The majority of meals are included but not all of them in order to give you more flexibility.
Do the hotels cater for vegetarians?
Good vegetarian cooking is offered, just let us know when you are booking the holiday for any special dietary requirements and we will cater for them.
Do the hotels always have pools?
Many of our hotels have pools and Jacuzzis or at least one very near by.
Are single rooms available?
Yes they are just ask for a single room when you reserve.

Can I book online?
Yes we have an online payment system that is 100% secure. Alternatively you can pay by cheque or bank transfer.
What are the terms and conditions?
